1. Purple was not a successful week
2. Playing outside in the water was much more successful
3. Wearing purple for the entire week was not difficult
Mess Free Paint
Water, food coloring and a ziploc bag is all you need for this fun, easy activity. Madison did enjoy it. I actually stepped out of the box and added a little cornstarch thinking, thickening the fluid up would be helpful and another added texture. Instead the starch settled but it turned out to be more fun because then when Madison ran her fingers over the bag the mix of dark purple water and white corn starch mixed, creating a light purple. I thought it was pretty cool. Madison immediately became distracted by the large, colorful puff balls instead and instantly began organizing.
Chick Kit
Apparently I need to go back to preschool because this activity was difficult for even myself. My big fingers {that aren't even that big} could not keep glued items on the puff balls. Did I mention the box reads for 8+. Little over our heads. Instead we did whatever we thought easiest. For Madison, that was sticking a foot where a typical beak might be.
Finger paint that isn't finger paint at all
For the person out there that said this recipe would be a WINNER for finger paint....You were either miss informed or have never played with finger paint. Our fix, add some shaving cream.
Painting
When all else fails, bust out the paint....
Coloring
....Or the coloring bin
Cooking
Madison seems to eat a little better when she is apart of the cooking process {not always}. Here is a little bit of this and a little of that.
