Madison is at the age that when I ask her to smile I receive a very cheesy, odd looking, not real smile. Instead I have been just trying to say and do goofy things to help capture her genuine self.
Carson on the other hand just needs a good song or someone to give him a big smile and that big grin will form right across his face.
I love my children crazy alot! Staying home has become quite a blessing and I feel like I am able to form them into the children I hoped for them to be.
A perfect example is this. Much of your day you feel like you can say no about 1,000 times. Two years old test and test and test those limits. I truly try not to harp on Madison all day long and try to say good things more than I say "No." Good Job, Awesome Babe, What a Smart Girl are said most of the time. Even simple stuff like going down the slide and reaching the bottom, I always say "Good Job." The other day we were at the park with friends and Madison tells the Mother and Daughter pair "Good Job" when they reached the bottom of the slide. Oh, my heart smiled knowing that she is this sweet little girl even when Mommy is not around watching and listening to everything.
{Quick note: These are moments and I still have bad moments, ie Target. My hope is just that these amazing moments always out way the hard ones.}
| This day was a little windy. Look at little man's hair :) Makes me laugh. That day I was actually laughing out loud whenever I would look at him! |
