I AM SO BLESSED

One word describes my husband:

And one picture to describe a man who does twenty projects at once, all to perfection:

I love you husband. Thank you for being a wonderful, genuine, kind, humorous man.

Book Worm

Everyone knows I love scrapbooking but there is another wonderful hobby I enjoy...Reading! I have a list of my recent and old favorites. Any suggestions of new books I am always up for. What are some of your favorites?

This book was the first book I really loved and spurred the rest of my continued reading. My mom loves Daniel Steel.

If you love heroic stories that show the strength of individuals, this is the book for you. It is about a climb on Mount Everest that goes bad. The first part of the book is somewhat slow but the end makes up for it.

This book as such amazing lessons to life that you don't think about. It grounds you back to what you love about your life.I always said how I don't like witch craft and these "Harry Potter" books sounded stupid. Now look...They are one of my favorite series.

The Prey Series is Great!!! James Patterson is another of my favorite and does similar books as John Sanford.

The movie, of course, does no justice for the detail and heartfelt dialogue of this book.

The Wedding from Nicholas Sparks is Awesome also

Crazy but I love these books

I just read this book last week, the first I have ever read of Grisham, and loved it. I am definitely going to read more of his.

Stewart Visit Day One

Ben and I had big plans for Ryan to trying bowling for the first. He enjoyed it but wanted it to be his turn every time. The gutter rails not only helped Ryan but defiantly helped Kari and I's score also.

Ryan was always so cute after throwing the ball...Or should I say pushing. We had to help him or it would stop in the middle of the lane.

Oooh, that was a close gutter...Not so good Grandma.

Nick had a full day that ended up him sleeping in my arms. I couldn't feel more blessed to have these kiddos in my life.

Stewart Visit Day 2

Mary rented a hotel room so we could all go swimming for the day. Nick had only been swimming once and loved it even more the second time. Ryan thought the slide was a bit intimidating but did try it twice. We all had lots of fun before the fam had to head back to Rapid City.

The Benson Puppies, But Not Really Puppies

People often ask me if I have any dogs. I always say yes but then have to explain that they live back at home. I miss those cute little faces and those cute little voices talking to me when I walk through the door.
This is Nikki. She is our chill, relaxed trouble maker.

This is Zeus. He is our lap dog, can't you tell. He believes he is 10 pounds but is really around 70 pounds. This is him speaking to us saying how much he loves the fam.

Nikki "talking" back.

Zeus is such a beautiful dog.

Garden of the Gods 2008

I loved these photos so much that I had to share. We were in CO Springs at Garden of the Gods with my family and had the best time walking around. It is such a beautiful area and to spend it with my family was perfect!

Uncle Ben and Ryan

Uncle Ben and Ryan could not be a cuter pair. Ben loves his little nephew so much. He loves teaching, helping and playing with Ryan every chance he gets.

The last time Ryan visit Uncle Ben built an airplane with Ryan.

Ryan lasted about 2 minutes but he really tried and uncle was very patient...Maybe it was because uncle enjoyed building the plane.

What a cute little couple =)

Our Next Vacation

I can not even wait for our vacation in May! We are not only celebrating us being married for 3 years but also the birth of my best friend, Jenn's baby! We are going to L.A., specifically Hermosa and Redondo Beach. My best friend Jenn and her twin sister, my other best friend, Steph are all meeting there after almost three years of being apart. It is so amazing to have friends like that. I love you ladies and CAN NOT wait to see you!!!

I think Ben will love surfing (which Jenn's husband does regularly) and fishing off the Pier. I am sure you will see the whole trip on the blog soon =)

SQUARE!?!?!?!

I love our new bathroom fixtures. You know us, always liking something a little off the wall. Here is our newest. At first I wasn't sure but the more I thought about it, I loved the way it looked with the square tile.
One knob is for the volume of water and the other is for the tempurature. Lets just hope it is as cool as it looks.

RED!!!!

This is my most recent painting adventure...Red Wall!!!!

Pillow Controversary

I would like to take a poll of the women here that buy stuff to make their home look good? That is what I thought, all of you! Well, my husband recently thought I was smoking something, lets just say illegal, because I bought "decorative" pillows.
Now I really believe if I would have never defined it by "decorative" we would have been in the clear. Unfortunately, I was not putting my engineer hat on that day. So instead of this beautiful looking pillow on the corner of the couch......

We get this, where everything is thrown in pile if I am lucky. Most days....On the floor!
