She is so excited

Our beautiful Hickory Solid Wood floors.  The floors are a bit dirty here, but the variation of color we just fell in love with.

On our back deck...I love the view from here :)

"Let Me In!!!"

You may not fall down the stairs.  You may not fall down the stairs.

#stoopreunion2014 {Stewart + Cooper} visit

My sweet friend Lynn and her son Caleb came to visit the weekend before Easter.  In fact the only week it was nice, for like 6 months, she was here for!  Perfect timing!

We did all the tourist"y" things like Mount Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Canyon Lake and Dinosaur Park.

I treasure our friendship deeply.  I am sure she is the only reason I stayed sane in the blistering heat and heavy downpours of Texas.  She educated me {ie, blue bonnets are not hats but in fact flowers} and helped me have that person to count on.  I remember thinking many times, at least I have Lynn.

Our friendship will be a life long one.  I feel blessed that God put her in my life at a time I thought I would not survive having a 4 month old and 22 month old.

 We miss you like crazy already Lynn!!

easter ~ our house

We had a little AM celebrations on Sunday, just our little family.  Madison couldn't wait since the Easter Bunny was going to bring her Frozen {yes, that was a hard waiting over a month and seeing the movie every.single.time we went to the store.  Three year olds do not understand, "please stop asking me about that movie."}

Church, Lunch, Pictures, Play, Play, Play

Easter Weekend was such a memorable and happy and perfect weekend.  Spending time with all our family was such a treat, that we can not get enough of.  Finally, we are not having to miss holidays with one family or the other.

The weather was even a little warmer Sunday.  The Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success.  Mary arranged all the eggs, color coding each kids {Madison had the only girly color, perfect little lady of the bunch}.  Gary, Matt and Ben hid them all around while the kids took a spin in the golf cart.

And a few family pictures....

My throwing and kick ball skills were really tested this past Easter.  Nick can play and play and play those sports all day long, without a break.  Unlike me, who needs to give my arm a break every hour {which never went over very well}!

And Carson was a crazy candy eating machine!!!
