Let us begin this long list of cute/funny/quarky/goof ball facts about me

1. I was born in Rapid City, SD on January 7th, 1984
2. No, it is not Antartica 24/7 and yes it is actually quite beautiful
3. Sometimes I wished we moved back
4. But then I do really love CO Springs
5. My favorite color is pink
6. Maybe that is why I want a baby girl so much
7. Don't get me wrong, a healthy kiddo is what I really want
8. I don't think that day will come for another 1-2 years.
9. I can't wait for that day to say I am a mom
10. My mom and sister are the BEST people in the world and....
11. I call them my best friends without hesitation
12. I also have my college best friends, they are Jenn and Steph,
13. They are the most beautiful twins
13. I love being called Kiddo by my Dad
14. My dad has been a great support through my high school years
15. I wouldn't be where I am now without my parents
16. I married my VERY VERY hot husband, my high school sweetheart too
17. We have been together ever since
18. I wouldn't change a thing (I get asked that often)
19. We got married in the beautiful Black Hills on May 6th, 2006
20. We graduated college that same year
21. I am a nurse and he is a Mechanical Engineer
22. I work in Radiology Nursing
23. I do everything from Biopsies, Drain Placements, Embolizations, Central Lines, Port Placements, Thrombectomies, Paracentesis, Throcentesis, etc.
24. As you can tell it is a little of everything.
25. Transferring to this unit was the best thing I have ever did for my career
26. I worked in the ICU before that
27. I would always take the family's pain to heart and it made the job difficult
28. I loved ICU otherwise
29. The best and worst in people come out when a loved one is dying
30. I have seen people take their dying breath
31. I think of it as an honor to be apart of someone's last moments
32. Now I get to help prolong their life on earth
33. My grandpa survived cancer...YAH!!!
34. My other grandpa (my dad's dad) died on my husbands birthday
35. I think this blog is getting depressing...Lets change subjects
36. I love scrapbooking
37. My favorite is flipping through my completed wedding/honeymoon album
38. I read all kinds of magazines to learn new techniques and layouts for my pages
39. For my birthday this year Ben created an entire room for my scrapbooking

Sunny L.A.

Ben and I recently got back from a fun trip to Los Angeles, CA. I could have not wished for a better trip, hanging out with my husband and two best friends! We enjoyed the sun but limited our activities because of prego Jenn of 39 weeks. I hope to have a cute belly (some day) like hers. Here are a few fun pictures:

As I am sure you can tell, Jenn (on the left) and Steph (on the right), are twins. I got the two for one special that day =)

Ben did great for a beginner. The waves were crashing into him non stop.

My Parents New Dream Home in the Black Hills

My parents have always had a dream to live in a beautiful home in the amazing Black Hills. Just recently they have fulfilled that dream. The home is absolutely custom built just to my parents liking. I am so happy to see them so happy. They are two of the most deserving people that have given so much up for their children (yep us). Love you mom and dad!

Bathroom Remodel Update

Ben has got all the "underground" work done, meaning, the electrical and plumbing. There a few more finishing details on that part but majority is done. We picked the light fixtures as you can see below. Also, that white foam thing on there, is obviously going to be the mirror and the vanity will fit perfect underneath. The arch is done also....YAH!!!

Ben finished the concrete of the shower and moved the toilet to that side also making the half wall. We will put the glass for the upper part of the wall.

This is the nice spacious shower now.

The arch turned out great. Ben's side is the right side and mine is the left!


This is the view from our bedroom. It is looking really good. Ben wanted to be farther but has been helping alot of friends lately. Hopefully we (or maybe just him) can get some done this weekend =)
