kemah boardwalk

As usual we love exploring the places we live.  Texas is going to be no exception. 

The ocean is a huge draw for us being we have never lived remotely near such a body of water.  I mean does like Angostura Lake even count?

{To all my non South Dakota readers, this is a joke and that lake is very small}





I had previously been to Kemah Boardwalk while I lived in Houston for my externship but having children brings a new fun to all these.  Plus, I mean I can't remember like 7 or 8 years ago.

We first enjoyed a little pizza celebration {I can finally enjoy the many eateries} and people watching around the boardwalk.

Then came the fun views of the area.

Just flashback a minute....this was me, here so many years ago.  I would have never ever thought I would be now living here.

{Note: Please do not look at the weight difference,  maturity, or general comparison between the size of any part of my body.  I have had two children :) }

Madison and Daddy drove a boat around the water area.  She did love it but I think Ben may have even more ;)

The day was filled with exploring this new area, enjoying the salty smell of the air and wishes the day could be a little longer.  We will definantly be going back and maybe enjoying a mini day cruise as well.  An aquarium, amusement park and of course, a few boardwalk restaurants are on the to do list for next time.
