nap time

Our routine is quite simple...

Madison gets carried to her room, we lay her in her bed, kiss her on the cheek and whisper "Night, night."  She turns over and closes her eyes.

This was not always the routine with Madison and at times it was almost torturous to get her to sleep. Swaddling, rocking, patting, soothing, feeding, bouncing, crossing your fingers.

Now my sweet boy just needs a thumb and to roll to his left side. I lay him in his bed awake and by the time I am walking out he has fallen asleep with his thumb in his mouth.  The difference in children are amazing.

I haven't had that "children are so different" moment until now and wow, there is quite a contrast.  Don't get me wrong I am not complaining.  I was just able to put both children down in less than 5 minutes.  More quality time for Mommy!  Blogging and Reading here I come!

There is no way I would risk waking Madison up from her nap for a picture.  This mom has learned that lesson the hard way.  But little man was just waking up so I got one good picture of him sleeping and when the flash went off, he turned over and gave me this sweet smile!  Yes, he really is that cute :)

P.S. The reason that he is not wearing a shirt is because he has been drooling and still spitting up often, the entire front was drenched.  The medication for his reflux has really helped but we still have days here and there that are a bit wet.
