Mommy can not believe you are 1 month old now. Your sweetness is shining through that very serious face of yours. When I look down at you, my heart melts for the deep love I have for you. Since you came into our lives I feel a completeness. Our family is this puzzle that finally has all the pieces.
You didn't want to be left out so you jumped on the dairy and soy allergy train. Yes, you too have dairy and soy allergy which leaves mommy with very few food options. Nuts, meat, fruit and vegetables are the only choices. You are with every minute I just want to sneak a piece of cheese or glass of milk.
Unfortunately reflux also runs in the family but I feel like we finally have that under control. You were on Zantac and Prevacid but were just taken off Zantac because the medication did not help at all. Now you don't spit up every feeding but when you do your poor little eyes get all red and then a fair amount comes back up. Fussiness after feedings is normal with you but hopefully once we reach the 4-6 month mark the sphincter will be fully developed and you won't have reflux.
We catch you smiling every now and again, especially when you are nursing. I think you just love being so close to Mommy, but maybe I am biased. Last night Daddy was talking to Mommy and all of a sudden, you looked up at him and gave him a huge smile. Daddy was excited. We see that handsome smile and our love for you grows, if that is even possible!
You love tummy time for about 10 minutes but your sister loves you having tummy time even more. She always wants to be near you, touching, holding your hand or kissing you. She laughs as you lay there and will lay next to you for some added company. I caught her trying to brush your "teeth" the other day. Your face was a bit unsure of that small taste. She shares her babies' bows with you often and ALWAYS gives you your paci. Even when you are sleeping or perfectly content. She loves hers so you must love yours.
Carson Benjamin, you have brought our family such love and laughter already. I can not wait to see what the next month will bring.
