july fourth weekend

Our celebration began when we went to Rapid City over the Fourth of July Weekend.  Lots of family activities and fun in the sun.

Well, I guess the day at the lake was a mild success (I love her face in this one).

July 4th has always had great memories for me.  One year a friend and I went up to Mt. Rushmore and viewed the fireworks from a small hill top.  BEAUTIFUL!  That was one of my very favorite memories. Spending time with our wonderful families and enjoying Ms. Madison look like she is going to poop her diaper every time a firework went off was so adorable.  The scared crying wasn't my favorite (nor was it hers, she decided she wanted to sleep more than try and watch) but seeing the nephews and friends/family enjoying the fireworks was great.

Such a happy and healthy little girl.

Enjoying the fireworks (or trying to at least).  After this she actually got really startled and was over the fireworks.  She wanted bedtime now!
