tot school {blue}

As usual tot school as been going at a nice steady pace.

Accomplishments:

1. Madison can count to 10! {she will even try to count higher, 13, 17, 14 are frequently tossed into that mix}

2. She is really good at the color blue...Even when the color is not blue

3. Coordination {maybe just alot of throwing} is getting really good.  She can easily and consistently throw in the direction of her brother and it hits him EVERY time.  WOW!  I know!  Such a great skill!

4. Really though, she is good at throwing and we worked on catching this week.  I see a big difference even from the beginning of the week compared to the end.  Every day we would spend maybe 30 minutes throwing and catching.

5. Her ABC's are coming along. I feel like she hits about 50% of the letters now and hums thru the rest.

Activities:

Picnic #1

All our blue items are ready, except one thing, we are getting blown away!  Carson's hair was sticking straight up with his little squint face on, meaning, this wind is driving me crazy.  Madison as seen in the below picture was trying to enjoy her cup of tea yet the ball would not stay on because the wind would blow it all the way to the driveway.  And her hair was also waving in the wind.  Abort mission.

Picnic #2

Much better weather, brother was sleeping, and all the ladies enjoyed a lovely cup of tea.  Blue Octopus, Sully from Monsters Inc. and Blue Baby enjoyed the nice weather as well.

The picnic got boring so we started filling all our blue pots instead.

Fine Motor Skills

I wanted to use our blue painters tape but couldn't find it anywhere {welcome to living life half in boxes}.  We settled for the masking tape which worked great.  Parents tip ~ This was a fun, simple activity but it only lasts about 5-10 minutes.

Cooking

Madison loves her some cooking.  To bad goldfish is the only thing she ate this whole night.

{approximately 1 hour after this picture we were rushing Madison to the E.R. that post is coming up}

Water Time Fun

I kept emphasizing that water is blue but as I looked at it, I kept thinking...Not really!   Well, that's what they say so I kept with it.  She enjoyed running around like a crazy girl spraying everything including Mommy multiple times.  The only reason we have any pictures of her smiling is because she is chasing me with that hose.

We even had a visit from Caleb and Ms. Lynn from next door.  Madison says "Caleb" whenever she sees our neighbor's house.  My sweet girl is too cute.

Blue Bag Surprises!!

Such an easy way for entertainment and learning.  I just put all the blue craft items in a blue bag and she said "PRESENT!"  Awesome.  We hit the jackpot of fun with this one.

Carson even did some blue learning with his paintbrush.

Poor brother.  The abuse this child must tolerate!

Puzzles and Stampeding

Madison loves her puzzles but when we found a new way to play with it, dinosaurs and pets became whole new items.  We set up all the animals and them crashed into them with our truck.  We played this for almost an hour!!  She loved seeing them all fall over.  I read somewhere that this age is perfect for everything and anything to crash or fall over.  This was true for us today.

Craft Carnival at the Library

I love this library!  They have great activities and events.  The craft carnival was no exception.  We had 4 crafts to do, Scooby Doo was playing on the big screen and we even WON a book!!!!  After that we spent some time finding new books to read at home and playing with her favorite, the giant dinosaurs.

Carson just enjoying his usual fun activity

Washing, Cleaning, Drying our blue babies

Madison LOVED this.

Next week....Purple!!

On the agenda: Edible finger paint, mess free paint, paint, noodle play, and so much more!!!
