5 months

My Carson.

Right now you are cooing in your crib, after a quick (much too short) nap and sick with RSV.  Happy 5 months old my coughing, gagging, running nose, febrile, yet still happy little boy.

I feel like you aren't 5 months.  No way.  I just left the hospital, I am sure of it! 

You are starting to show your smile to the world more and more each day.  The room lights up.  Every time we are out running errands or watching your crazy, energetic sister playing, I receive a comment or two on how happy and handsome you are.  I couldn't agree more. There is an element of satisfaction when someone else tells you the obvious ;)

Sweet boy your 5 month gift was RSV.  Mommy is sorry.  Watching you cough until I swear a lung is about to come up is much worse than enduring the infection myself.  Sister has been extra sweet to  you trying to help you get better, even when she steals your toys or tells you no, no, no, she means I love you, get better soon.

We just switched to specialized formula (Dairy and Soy Free) and you have enjoyed the transition.  Not only does your tummy get COMPLETELY full {gulping down about 8-10 oz.} you also have been enjoying a good nights sleep now.  No more waking every 3 hours and instead sleeping from about 6:30 til 4:00.  Since you have been sick your coughing to the point of vomiting has put a bit of a bump in this newly enjoyed sleep cycle but hopefully we can get back on track tonight.
