childrens museum

Even after a hefty drive {1.25 hrs} and bad traffic, Madison laughed and played at Houston's Childrens Museum like nobodies business. Carson enjoyed watching all the kids running around, even trying to get over there with a failing army crawl.  From Carson's age up the museum had activities.

Madison is the ideal age for the tot spot which included an outdoor soft area for the bikes and cars.  Inside is filled with cars, slides, games, peek a boo boxes, a large scale Light Brite and oatmeal sensory boxes.  We went with a neighbor and her daughter, Alyssa, who Madison loves to play with.  Madison is my social butterfly.

I'm ready for some fun mom!

These ball pits were a hit and how how awesome is this... you just put the slobbery balls in this nearby basket, the staff sterilize the toy and tada, no more germs.

This area was an entire soft zone area for infants.  Stuffed animals, rattles, smaller balls were laying all around for the babies.  Carson had a nice conversation with himself in the window.

Cool, right! Plus the kids can not get out.  Note the lady looking extremely bored by the door.  I knew I could hang out with Carson and not worry about Madison.  Great!

This was on the favorites list for Madison.  The peek a boo boxes opened and there are scenes like, a bathroom where you can flush a toilet handle {see to the left of her}.  Or a front door with a door bell.  Perfect for my button pushing, toilet flushing little lady.

Oatmeal sensory box

Madison wanted this helmet, like 'I am crying because I have to leave it at the museum,' love.  Safety first people!

Who knew?!?!  Madison loved the water area! {I am being completely sarcastic being about 50% of her life is spent in a swim suit or soaking wet clothing}. The PVCs connected in all sorts of ways to show the fluid water motion.  Plus completely soak your children prior to their departure.  Carson enjoyed a little nap during this time.

Such little friends.  Alyssa is about 3 months older than Madison.

We had a great time but there was so much we did not see.  The have an entire section of science experiments you can do and a little town with a diner, car shop, police station that the kids pretend to serve you or fix your car at.  I can't wait to enjoy the area when family comes out {then I have an extra set of hands and eyes} and Carson is a little older {so he can enjoy a few more of the activities}.
