101 Interesting Facts About Me and My Life

Let us begin this long list of cute/funny/quarky/goof ball facts about me

1. I was born in Rapid City, SD on January 7th, 1984
2. No, it is not Antartica 24/7 and yes it is actually quite beautiful
3. Sometimes I wished we moved back
4. But then I do really love CO Springs
5. My favorite color is pink
6. Maybe that is why I want a baby girl so much
7. Don't get me wrong, a healthy kiddo is what I really want
8. I don't think that day will come for another 1-2 years.
9. I can't wait for that day to say I am a mom
10. My mom and sister are the BEST people in the world and....
11. I call them my best friends without hesitation
12. I also have my college best friends, they are Jenn and Steph,
13. They are the most beautiful twins
13. I love being called Kiddo by my Dad
14. My dad has been a great support through my high school years
15. I wouldn't be where I am now without my parents
16. I married my VERY VERY hot husband, my high school sweetheart too
17. We have been together ever since
18. I wouldn't change a thing (I get asked that often)
19. We got married in the beautiful Black Hills on May 6th, 2006
20. We graduated college that same year
21. I am a nurse and he is a Mechanical Engineer
22. I work in Radiology Nursing
23. I do everything from Biopsies, Drain Placements, Embolizations, Central Lines, Port Placements, Thrombectomies, Paracentesis, Throcentesis, etc.
24. As you can tell it is a little of everything.
25. Transferring to this unit was the best thing I have ever did for my career
26. I worked in the ICU before that
27. I would always take the family's pain to heart and it made the job difficult
28. I loved ICU otherwise
29. The best and worst in people come out when a loved one is dying
30. I have seen people take their dying breath
31. I think of it as an honor to be apart of someone's last moments
32. Now I get to help prolong their life on earth
33. My grandpa survived cancer...YAH!!!
34. My other grandpa (my dad's dad) died on my husbands birthday
35. I think this blog is getting depressing...Lets change subjects
36. I love scrapbooking
37. My favorite is flipping through my completed wedding/honeymoon album
38. I read all kinds of magazines to learn new techniques and layouts for my pages
39. For my birthday this year Ben created an entire room for my scrapbooking
40. One of my favorite presents of all times!
41. I love spending time with my ICU buddy and scrapbooking
42. Ali, you are such a great friend
43. I struggle with finding good friends in CO
44. Reading is my second favorite hobby
45. James Patterson, John Sanford, Harry Potter and Twilight are some of my favs
46. I love buying second hand books
47. Or books from the Bargain Areas of Borders or Barnes and Noble
48. The problem is I have SO many I still need to read
49. I love watching Fox News when I am cleaning, doing laundry
50. I love having a clean and organized house (Ali I had to agree)
51. It puts my mind at ease
52. Candles always make a house seem cleaner
53. My mom sells Gold Canyon Candles

55. My father in law would always say "You say everything is 'the best'"

57. My whole house smells like Birthday Cake right now..mmmmm....
58. My husband finished our 1600 square foot basement

60. He is such a wonderful man

62. He is now finishing our bathroom/closet in our Master bedroom

64. Right now the organized Cassie is having to let go a little bit

68. She is going to school for Elementary Ed......
69. I would always tell her that would be her ideal job but she didn't think so
70. Until the first year of school and she couldn't think of anything better...LOL
71. Now she loves it and we have been shopping for "Teacher" clothes as we like to call it

73. I love advice about flowers even more...Thanks Grandma and Mary (Mother-in-law)
74. I just took the advice from my Grandma and planted Hostas and Impatience for the shaded areas
75. Ben thinks there is no value in planting flowers and throwing them away ever year

77. We bought our first home 6 months after getting married
78. I couldn't love it more!
79. I always wish I was a more creative cook
80. I depend on recipes way to much
81. I just hate wasting food if it doesn't turn out
82. I hate grocery shopping
83. And average doing it at most once a month
84. I know "I will need to change that when I have kids"
85. I am trying to become a great golfer
86. It is quite a slow process

90. But I think I wont get those until I can become a bit more consistent
